The series “Strange things” explores femininity, identity and the fragmented image of the human figure. It offers an unconventional approach to portraiture through the juxtaposition, layering and transformation of different forms, textures and visual traces.

“Woman with a Bun” depicts a figure constructed from fragments. The distinctive, almost abstract shape of the hairstyle becomes the central element of the composition, while the delicate drawing of the face remains incomplete and elusive. Collage and drawing intertwine, creating an image that exists somewhere between portraiture and imagination.

The work is both mysterious and slightly unsettling, yet full of subtlety. It suggests that a portrait does not need to faithfully reproduce reality; instead, it can become a play of associations, emotions and imagination. In this series, strangeness becomes a way of exploring the world and the human condition.
